About Mousetrap's Programmes

Mousetrap provides a range of subsidised access and education programmes tailor-made to reflect students' needs. With dozens of plays across London to choose from each term, at £5 or less a ticket, teachers can be part of a creative process using theatre productions as a resource in the classroom.

We also offer a range of more in-depth educational programmes, engaging students with the processes of writing, reviewing, technical aspects and much more. Here you'll find programme-by-programme details and details of how to get involved and sign-up.

"The project united the year group, and they are now working on their own situation comedies at a very sophisticated level of devising and performing. The practitioner's expertise was invaluable" - St. Bonaventure's School, Newham

Programmes are based around a theatre visit, usually in the West End, and are designed to enrich the students' experience.

Mousetrap Theatre Projects matches the needs of teachers and their students to the skills and expertise of professional theatre-makers such as playwrights, directors, actors, designers and critics, whose work embraces a broad range of methodologies and styles.

All education programmes include a theatre visit with the best seats for just £3-£5, and use theatre as a catalyst for classroom learning, for both drama and other disciplines in the curriculum.

What teachers say about Mousetrap Theatre Projects:

  • "The project was fantastic and the performance work that the students produced for their mock GCSE exam was, without doubt, the most creative I have ever seen." - Haggerston School, Hackney
  • "As a teacher I feel inspired and reinvigorated. This is such a valuable project and I cannot thank you enough." - Rowan High School, Merton
  • "It (an INSET on sound and lighting design) was extremely valuable training, and I would certainly classify it as one of the most important workshops I have ever attended" - St. Martin in the Fields School, Lambeth
