Our 10th Anniversary Events

This year Mousetrap celebrates its tenth anniversary with a host of special events and celebrations. Read on to find out more...

On Sunday 18 November 2007, we hosted our first fundraising gala at the St. Martin's Theatre where young people who have participated in our programmes spoke briefly about their theatre experience.

As part of the night, top West End stars from productions attended by students and young people including Les Miserables, Parade, Mamma Mia!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Billy Elliot, Wicked, The 39 Steps and more all performed excepts,under the watchful eye of Olivier and Tony Award nominated director David Grindley

2008 Whatsonstage Theatregoers' Choice Awards

We're also proud to have been selected as the supported charity for this year's Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards - the only awards where the theatregoing public have their chance to vote on actors, productions and creatives who they believe deserve the accolades.

This year's awards were launched on Friday 7 December at a special nominations party hosted by Elaine Paige and Michael Ball, held to support Mousetrap, at the Cafe de Paris in Leicester Square.  The awards themselves were announced on Friday 22 February 2008, and were presented at the inaugural Whatsonstage Year on Year Review 2008, held at the Lyric Theatre on Sunday 24 February 2008, again in aid of Mousetrap Theatre Projects.

Among the guests and winners picking up their trophies were Daniel Radcliffe, Kevin Spacey, Lord Lloyd Webber, Peter Shaffer, Leanne Jones, Michael Ball, Lee Mead, Dame Diana Rigg and performers Sharon D Clarke, Daniel Boys, Ben James-Ellis, Jon Robyns and the cast of Never Forget.
