London Theatre Challenge - Autumn Term 2008
The London Theatre Challenge offers all state secondary school pupils in London (Years 7 to 13) the chance to see an outstanding live theatre performance for just £5 a ticket. The programme involves around 6,000 young people a year, and their teachers can choose from a broad selection of top productions.
This Autumn, London Theatre Challenge is scheduling a brand new line-up of top musicals, new plays, Shakespeare and much more. Booking for all productions will open in August, and leaflets will be sent to all schools on our mailing list very shortly.
The LTC is split between Mainstream and Special Schools and is tailored accordingly. The programme for Mainstream secondary schools offers:
- Tickets at only £5.00 each
- A choice of six quality theatre productions
- Free Teachers' Resource Pack
- Free Question and Answer session with members of the cast and/or production team
Free Insight Sessions:
These 90-minute sessions take place before the matinee performances. Designed as participatory master classes rather than workshops, Insight sessions are given by key members of the company and creative teams (such as the director, writer and stage manager) and offer a first-hand insight into the creative choices made in staging a theatre production.
