TheatreWorks
Brings specialist theatre practitioners into the classroom to collaborate with teachers on their own individualised workshop programme, related to a theatre production of the teacher's choice.
Teachers create their own theatre-based education programme to fit the needs of their students - KS 3, 4 or 5. The theme of each project, identified by the teacher, can be as far ranging as non-naturalistic performance styles, lighting design, storytelling, mask-making or forum theatre, and projects are jointly devised and led by specialist practitioners such as theatre designers, actors, choreographers and musicians. Students have up to 8 hours of contact time with the practitioner and also see a theatre production that acts as a catalyst for the project.
The cost is just £300 for four x 2 hour workshops, plus £5 per theatre ticket.
