Mousetrap provides a range of subsidised access and education programmes tailor-made to reflect students' needs. With dozens of plays across London to choose from each term, at £5 or less a ticket, teachers can be part of a creative process using theatre productions as a resource in the classroom.

Play the Critic helps 6th Form students develop critical thinking and writing skills by teaching them how to write theatre reviews, under the guidance of professional theatre critics.  There are now new versions of this programme available for dance and music students.

A new participatory programme to support students undertaking the BTec for Performing Arts, business module.  This programme will bring teachers and their students in contact with the management side of the theatre industry to explore marketing, budgeting and producing.

Envision

Envision offers the blind and partically sighted people the chance to attend a an audi-described West End matinee, supported by a morning of stimulating activities designed to enhance their appreciation of the performance. For 2008 the production is Billy Elliot.

Insights

A free pre-show masterclass, providing an insight into the creative processes involved in putting a production together. Students will have the chance to work in groups with key members of the creative team, such as the director, set and lighting designers and stage management.
