Work Experience and University Student Placements

Mousetrap Theatre Projects has a number of work experience and university student placement opportunities over the course of the year.

We provide office, administrative work experience which takes place over two weeks for secondary school students aged 16+ or for university student placements this can be for a longer period, usually 3 months, 3 days per week. We require strong level of English and confident communication skills from students hoping to apply for longer term university placements.  The timing and duration of these short term positions can be negotiated. We try to remain as flexible to your needs as possible, but we can only accomodate students who can commit to a minimum of two consecutive weeks.

However, we are happy to provide course requirment work placements or short term career development work experience.  There is usually the opportunity to accompany a group to the theatre and we are happy to provide students with a reference at the end.  Paid university “internships” are only possible with financial support from your university or other funding arranged by the student; if this is something you are aware of please inform us, however please bear in mind that this may involve some lead time.

Please note: Due to insurance we cannot offer placements to those under 16
