PlayMakers

Drama and playwriting for deaf children

"A life-changing experience for the children." Teacher, 2017

PlayMakers is an inclusive creative learning project for Key Stage 2 pupils, which uses a theatre trip as a stimulus for in-school workshops. Over six in-school sessions, children work collaboratively with specialist facilitators to create a piece of theatre, which is adapted and performed by deaf and hearing professional actors in a central London theatre. Projects can be tailored to support existing PSHE or literacy targets.
