ActOut

Delivered in association with The Actors Centre, actout is a curriculum-focused project that helps to equip students with acting skills to approach play texts and devised material at Key Stages 4 & 5.
Specifically, actout links to Acting with Text and Devising within the GCSE Drama, BTEC Performing Arts and A Level Theatre Studies curriculum.
The project has two pathways and you can choose whichever best matches your needs.
Each pathway includes four workshops:
Pathway 1: Acting with text
1. Textual analysis
2. Vocal technique
3. Approaches to line learning
4. Communicating meaning to an audience
Pathway 2: Acting in devised performance
1. Starting points for devising
2. How to use and apply research
3. Fixing style
4. Building character
As well as either workshop series, the actout experience also includes a visit to see a matinee or evening performance of a London theatre production, which is chosen to enhance and reinforce what students learn during the workshops.
Cost: £300 for 4 x 2hr workshops, plus an additional £8 per theatre ticket
