Free London Theatre

Free London Theatre is a website that offers free tickets for young people under 26, between now and March 2011 as part of A Night Less Ordinary programme. We recommend this website for any young person who wishes to book theatre tickets outside Mousetrap's programmes. Below is a map of participatory theatres:

  • London’s most exciting theatres have clubbed together to give away loads of free tickets to young people under 26, between now and March 2011.
  • The Almeida Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, Bush Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Greenwich Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Royal Court, Soho Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Tricycle Theatre and the Young Vic have joined up to offer under 26’s a huge choice of truly great nights out at the theatre.
  • Through this group, you can discover some of the best performances the capital has to offer, from up-and-coming new talent and stage and screen’s most famous faces. These theatres also have some of the most stylish cafes and buzzing bars in town - great for hanging out with your friends, people-watching and star-spotting.
  • A Night Less Ordinary means you and your mates can have lots of ‘nights less ordinary’ at all these amazing Londo
  •  venues. There will usually be free tickets on offer for at least one of the theatres in the group every night of the week. Once you’ve taken up a free ticket at one of the theatres, you can either:
  1. Get a free ticket at another of the theatres listed in this group
  2. Take advantage of the theatre’s other special offers for young people.
  3. Or take advantage of the discounts for people 25 and under available at all of these theatres – which will be no more than £10 each and as little as £3 at some.

Theater Fix

TheatreFix is a new initiative run by The Society of London Theatre (SOLT)that brings tickets for London’s hottest shows to 16-26 year olds at incredible discounted prices throughout the year.

A Night Less Ordinary

Arts Council England in association with Metro brings you the new scheme, A Night Less Ordinary. Launched in February 2009 the scheme offers thousands of free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 for all sorts of theatre events including comedy, tragedies, musical theatre, dance, modern mime, plays, circus and much more. There are more than 200 venues participating throughout England.

In London, free tickets are available from: Trafalgar Studios, Donmar Warehouse, National Theatre, Soho Theatre, Young Vic, Barbican Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Roundhouse, Blue Elephant Theatre, Polka Theatre, Tara Studio, Almeida Theatre, Pleasance Theatre, Gate Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, Hampstead Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Hackney Empire Theatre, Half Moon Young People's Theatre, Tricycle Theatre, Churchill Theatre Bromley, Bush Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, The Albany, artsdepot Finchley, Greenwich Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Orange Tree Theatre, Millfield Arts Centre, Rose Theatre Kingston and Harrow Arts Centre.
