Each year, over the course of the summer holidays, Family First Nights enables 500 London families from disadvantaged backgrounds to visit the theatre together for the very first time.

Families are referred to us through organisations and are able to select from a wide variety of shows to see, for which they pay just £6 per ticket.

We also break barriers to family theatregoing through our supported Relaxed Performances, which enable those with additional physical, social and cognitive needs to enjoy the theatre without constraints.

Relaxed Performances

We work in collaboration with theatre across the West End to organise and host Relaxed Performances that are especially adapted for those with additional needs.

For teenagers

Go Live Theatre Club

From JAMIE to Joseph & The Technicolor Dreamcoat, teens aged 15-18 can join our theatregoing club Go Live and see top shows from just £7 per ticket! It’s a great way for them to enjoy theatre and make lots of new friends while they’re at it!

Performing Arts Summer School

If your children are aged 15-18 they could apply to take part in Summer Stage, our annual Performing Arts summer school. Places cost just £60 per week, including a trip to see a top West End show!

For grown-ups

Inter-generational theatre days

In 2018, to mark the 20th anniversary of Family First Nights, we held our first ever inter-generational theatre event at The Mousetrap. It was such a triumph that we’re doing it all again this year at The Gruffalo!

Fundraising for Mousetrap

From bake sales to karaoke nights, there are loads of fun ways you can raise a bit of money for Mousetrap! We are always thrilled to receive support from individuals, schools and groups across our community.

The safety of children and participants in all of our programmes is paramount to us. Due to the nature of our work, we enforce strict and rigorous polices to ensure that everyone participating in one of our programmes is safe and cared for in the best possible way.

We are one of the 750 organisations across the UK who have pledged to meet the Family Arts Standards, a UK-wide recognised quality-mark demonstrating excellence in family provision.
