Inspire your KS3 students to take Drama to the next level through hands-on workshops offering a taste of the specialist disciplines they could pursue.

 

Overview

Skill Up provides KS3 students with hands-on experience of different aspects of theatre production and performance, with the core aim of inspiring them to study Drama at KS4.  

Skill Up includes a trip to the theatre for up to 25 students, and a series of expert-led taster workshops that can be delivered in 2 ways:

  • Option 1: A full-day of workshops for up to 75 students. Our team will come to your school to deliver your choice of 3 x Skill Up workshops. Each Practitioner will deliver their workshop 3 times, for up to 25 students at a time.

  • Option 2: Select 4 x 2 hour workshops and we will deliver them on 4 different dates.

The Theatre Trip

When it comes to the theatre trip, the choice is yours! We will do our best to secure you 25 tickets to your show of choice - with the caveat that even we can’t get tickets to Harry Potter or Hamilton!


Eligibility

Our Autumn 2022 Skill Up programme is open to mainstream secondary schools in Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea and the Cities of London and Westminster.

We have capacity to deliver 10 x Skill Up programmes this term, so availability is limited and places will be allocated based on the information you provide on the application form. We will prioritise schools with a high percentage of students on free school meals, and where we understand the need and benefit will be greatest, based on the information you provide in your application.
